Description
The "Anne Frank of Russia" was 13 when she started a diary of her life in Moscow during Stalin's Great Purge. In 1937 Stalin's secret police ransacked her house and discovered the diary. She, her mother, and two sisters were charged with treason and sentenced to five years hard labor n the Gulag followed by seven years of exile. They all survived.
